Welcome from Val, the Owner of Val’s Cards ‘n’ Crafts. I am originally from the beautiful City of York in the UK but now located near the Historic Town of Listowel, Co. Kerry where I make personalised keepsake items for any occasion, from cards to frames.      

I started my crafting journey after I attended a Women’s Group where we would regularly create craft items from different materials. Starting with bookfolding, creating bowls from magazines and making wreaths from paper.

This sparked an interest in papercraft for me and so I started making cards using the quilling technique. As time passed, I found new and different items to use in my card making and then ventured into other crafts such as origami, frame making, tree decorations and I have also held a few classes in papercraft at Women’s Groups in the local area.
